Winter is in the air, especially on the Beartooth Highway, which will close early for the season on Oct. 7 at 8 a.m.

With winter storms hitting the Rockies and the western United States, we have our first early closing in the Yellowstone National Park region: the Beartooth Highway between the Hwy. 212/296 intersection and Red Lodge is now closed for the season.
