Yes, The Beartooth Highway is Open

After the Beartooth Highway closed this morning at the MT/WY state line due to overnight snow, crews have opened the popular route again.

Here’s what we wrote yesterday:

It was delayed by a week, but the Beartooth Highway connecting Red Lodge and Cooke City — and by extension, Billings to the Northeast Entrance — is indeed open today.

The above photo is from 2013, but it would seem to sum up the current road conditions. The opening of the Beartooth Highway was delayed by a week because of the challenging road-removal conditions on the Wyoming side of the highway.
