Craig Pass Temporarily Closed by Poor Conditions

The Craig Pass connecting Old Faithful and West Thumb Geyser Basin is temporarily closed to all visitor traffic due to poor driving conditions.

According to a Yellowstone press release, poor conditions have closed the road to the public. Crews are working to reopen the pass.

This is the second major road closure to hit Yellowstone this week. Monday, the park closed portions of the Canyon-North Rim Drive in order to fix a water line break. It has since reopened.

Snow also temporarily closed the Craig Pass and others earlier in the season.

A reminder that all interior park roads (save for the North/Northeast Entrance road) are slated to close November 6, 2017, in preparation for the winter season.
