More Yellowstone 2019 openings to note. Old Faithful Inn and associated services in the area will open for the season on Friday, as will more sections of roads: the highway from East Entrance to Lake Village (Sylvan Pass), and the roads between Canyon Village and Lake Village–weather permitting, of course.

The services opening May 3 at the Old Faithful area include the Old Faithful Inn Bear Paw Deli, the Old Faithful Lower Store and the lower service station and wrecker service. The Old Faithful Snow Lodge and Old Faithful Visitors Center are already open.
The two sections of road are set to open at 8 a.m. But there are a few things to note. First, there’s still a significant snowpack exists in the Sylvan Pass area, so temporary closures may occur. Park rangers will monitor avalanche conditions. Also, because of ongoing reconstruction of Fishing Bridge, you can expect 30-minute delays along the East Entrance Road between Fishing Bridge and Indian Pond for the entire year.
