Old Faithful Inn, East Entrance Opens May 6

More of Yellowstone National Park is opening for the season tomorrow, May 6.

Barring any inclement weather, the East Entrance road and the Sylvan Pass will open to visitor traffic, as will the road between Canyon and Lake. Further, the Old Faithful Inn will open for the season.

Last Friday, April 29, both the Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel and Old Faithful Snow Lodge, along with several restaurants and other services, opened for the season.

After spring plowing started in mid-March, and after the Park was opened to bicyclists, the roads to Old Faithful and Canyon Village opened April 15.
