Dunraven Pass Closed for the 2019 Season

Another weather-related closure to note: predicted bad weather is causing the National Park Service to close the Dunraven Passthe stretch of Grand Loop Road between Tower Fall and Canyon Junction — for the season.

True, the Dunraven Pass was set to close next week anyway, so we’re not talking about something totally unexpected. And with most services in Yellowstone National Park closed for the season (check out the full list here), this probably won’t affect too many visitors in a slow part of the year, especially with more snow on the way.

The closure comes on the heels of the closing of the Beartooth Highway for the season yesterday.
