Both the Old Faithful Snow Lodge and Dunraven Pass have closed for the 2016 summer season in Yellowstone National Park.
Last week, both the Old Faithful Inn and Lake Hotel, along with several other facilities, closed for the season. Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel closed October 10, and is not scheduled to be open for the next two winter seasons.
We previously reported the Dunraven Pass would close October 11, along with the Beartooth Pass; Yellowstone officials decided to keep Dunraven open until enough snowfall warranted closure.
As of 10:30 a.m. MST, the following facilities have closed in Yellowstone National Park:
Canyon Village
• Wrecker Service.
Old Faithful
• Old Faithful Snow Lodge Rooms & Cabins.
• Old Faithful Snow Lodge Dining Room.
Concession Campgrounds
• Madison Campground.
None of the major Yellowstone hotels are open at this time. Lewis Lake is the only campground still open for visitors. Currently, all Yellowstone roads—save for the road between the North and Northeast Entrances—are slated to close to vehicle traffic November 7.
The Snow Lodge Geyser Grill and Bear Den Gift Shop will remain open until November 6.
