Once more, travel along the Beartooth Pass is prohibited due to a sudden snowstorm.
According to the Montana Department of Transportation, the Pass is closed from the state line to Vista Point; a snowstorm has created “poor visibility and blowing & drifting.”
This is the fifth time this year the Pass has been closed by snow. The last closure came just a week and a half ago.
It is not known when the Pass will reopen. It’s possible transportation officials may close the Pass entirely, since it’s slated to close October 11.
