Courses range from one to five days and average $100 per day. Most are based at the Lamar Buffalo Ranch Field Campus in the northeast corner of the park. Affordable lodging is available at the ranch.
There are many new classes that focus on topics such wolf forensics, Yellowstone’s northern forests, snowpack and skiing. A special segment of courses, Lamar Valley Weeks, focus on wolves or photography and include catered meals, daily excursions, and evening speakers.
As Yellowstone’s official partner for education, the Yellowstone Association offers fun, learning vacations that connect visitors with park experts in a small group setting with lots of time in the field.
