Though there’s still plenty of snow on the ground, Yellowstone National Park is open for business today, with the West and North Entrances providing access to the Old Faithful area.

Visitation to Yellowstone National Park was down slightly in August 2012 when compared to August 2011, but the yearly numbers for visitation are up slightly from 2011.

The historic North Entrance to Yellowstone National Park will have a new look next year, as a new entrance-station complex will allow visitors to pose for a picture at the Roosevelt Arch or proceed directly into the Park.
