Yellowstone Roads Reopen as Winter Closures Loom

At this time, no roads in Yellowstone National Park are closed due to winter weather, but drivers should still expect delays and adverse conditions.

In addition, the road between Indian Creek Campground and Roaring Mountain is closed to all travel until 7 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2017 due to construction.

Winter weather previously closed most of the passes (Craig, Sylvan, Dunraven) in Yellowstone National Park as well as the roads between Lake/Canyon and West Thumb/South Entrance.

Bear in mind that, as we move into fall, some roads in Yellowstone National Park will start to close for the season. The Dunraven Pass, for instance, will close October 10, 2017.

All park roads save for the route between the North Entrance and Northeast Entrance will close November 6, 2017.

Snowcoach and oversnow travel will start December 15, 2017 in a majority of the park.
