Several roads in Yellowstone National Park have reopened after closing due to inclement weather and icy conditions.
According to a Yellowstone press release, the roads between Canyon and Lake Villages and between West Thumb and the South Entrance have reopened.
Yesterday, we reported five routes had been closed after wintry weather swept through the park. Officials closed most of the roads to public travel so crews could remove snow and ice. At least one route was closed to all travel, owing to hazardous conditions.
As of 8:45 a.m. MST, the following roads are still closed:
• Dunraven Pass between Tower and Canyon: closed to all travel.
• Sylvan Pass between Lake and East Entrance: closed to public travel.
• Craig Pass between Old Faithful and West Thumb: closed to public travel.
We will keep you abreast of any new developments. For more information, please call 307-244-2117.
UPDATE: The Craig Pass has been reopened.
