Park staff has ramped up their search for a missing hiker in northern Yellowstone National Park.
Yesterday, we reported Jeff Murphy, 53, of Batavia, Illinois was reported missing; he was last seen 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 7 at the Rescue Creek Trailhead near Gardiner, Montana. Murphy had intended to hike to Turkey Pen Peak. Staff later closed the Rescue Creek Trail.
Now, according to a Yellowstone press release, staff has stepped up their search for Mr. Murphy. Eight hiking teams, five dog teams, four horse teams, and a helicopter have been dispatched in search of Mr. Murphy.

Officials say Murphy may be wearing any of the following: khaki pants, yellow t-shirt, navy pullover, gray jacket with royal blue collar, and/or an army green backpack.
