The road between Mammoth Hot Springs and Norris has officially reopened to travel.
After closing September 11 for a construction project, the road’s reopening was delayed by a snowstorm earlier today, which also closed the Dunraven and Beartooth Passes.
According to a Yellowstone press release, while the road is now open, there are still possible delays, since sections of the road are still unpaved. Pilot cars will escort cars through the construction zone.
In addition, the Beartooth Pass is currently open on the Montana side, from Red Lodge to Vista Point, although it is still closed on the Wyoming side.
