John Charles McCluskey (left), 45, and Tracy Province (right), 42, escaped the private prison in Kingman, Arizona prison on July 30 and headed out of the state. Their accomplice, 43-year-old Casslyn Mae Welch (center), threw tools onto the prison yard, allowing them to escape. The pair are described by the U.S. Marshals Service as being armed and dangerous: Province was serving a life sentence for murder and armed robbery, while McCluskey was serving 15 years for attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault and discharge of a firearm.
“Information developed within the past two days indicated the escapees may be hiding in the Yellowstone Park area within Montana and Wyoming,” U.S. Marshals said in a statement Sunday. “It is believed Tracy Province has separated from John McCluskey and Casslyn Welch.”
The pair have gone on a spree of sorts since breaking out of prison: they are suspected in the murder of an Oklahoma pair traveling in New Mexico as well as allegedly hijacking an 18-wheel truck.
U.S. Marshals are in the Park and working with the National Park Service on a search for the trio.
