Officials with the State of Montana, local tribes and the federal government are discussing an expanded grazing area north of Yellowstone National Park for bison searching for food in winter months -- and we're talking some major land here.

Exiled Yellowstone National Park bison stuck in quarantine for the past several years would get a little breathing room, as Montana officials propose temporarily moving YNP bison enclosed at Corwin Springs to three wildlife areas controlled by the state. But there's one big condition: they'd be hunted sometime down the line.
