The Yellowstone National Park elk herd in the Northern Range has grown since last year, according to park and Montana biologists.

The National Park Service is waging a losing battle against the invasive lake trout as it slowly takes over Yellowstone Lake to the detriment of other trout species, according to Trout Unlimited, who want to see more aggressive actions taken against the interloper.
