Tribal representatives hoping to house Yellowstone bison on the Fort Peck Reservation have met pushback from Montana’s Board of Livestock.

The Montana Stockgrowers Association (MSGA) has come out against a proposed Yellowstone bison quarantine program.

The National Park Service and Montana agencies have released a public scoping comment report regarding Yellowstone’s Bison Management Plan/Environmental Impact Statement.

The public has until March 30 to suggest what should be included in the next winter-use plan for Yellowstone National Park, but public meetings and comments from officials give us some idea of what could be included. We look at some of the pubic input.
