The first 2021 Yellowstone bear incident has been reported to National Park Service officials, as a solo hiker was attacked while hiking on Beaver Ponds Trail at Mammoth Hot Springs.

It’s a sure sign of spring: the first Yellowstone grizzly bear sighting of 2021 is in the books, as one was spotted in the northern part of the park by a pilot supporting park wildlife studies.
