Yellowstone Lake Hotel and Old Faithful Lodge Open for Summer Season

The Yellowstone Lake Hotel and Old Faithful Lodge have reopened for the 2018 summer season in Yellowstone National Park!

Dining facilities at both hotels have also reopened.

In addition, visitors will now able to travel between Old Faithful and Lake Village through the Craig Pass, which connects Old Faithful to West Thumb. Visitors will also be able to drive up through the South Entrance.

With today’s road openings, only the Dunraven Pass remains closed. It’s currently scheduled to reopen May 25, weather-permitting. In addition, the Beartooth Highway is slated to reopen May 25, weather-permitting.

Facilities around Yellowstone National Park will continue to reopen as we approach Memorial Day Weekend, which marks the official start of the season. You can see the full list of opening and closing dates here.

A reminder as well, when touring the park, that there are several construction projects under way. One is on the Mammoth-Norris road, while the other is around Fishing Bridge between the bridge and Indian Pond. Expect delays of up to 30 minutes at each of these construction projects. For more information, please read our road conditions page.
