Yellowstone National Park South Entrance, Yellowstone visitation

East Entrance Closed by Winter Weather

Yellowstone National Park’s East Entrance has been closed by winter weather, preventing travel to and from Cody, Wyoming.

According to a Yellowstone press release, snow has made the road unsuitable for wheeled vehicles. Visitors will be unable to go east of Fishing Bridge Junction.

The park does not say when the road will reopen. All interior park roads, save for the road connecting the North and Northeast Entrances, through the Lamar Valley, will close to wheeled vehicles Monday, November 6.
