Part of the Grand Loop Road between Canyon Village and Lake has been closed off unexpectedly.
According to a Yellowstone press announcement, a water line broke just south of Canyon. You can see a picture of the break below, courtesy of Yellowstone National Park.
Officials say it’s not known how long repairs will take. Visitors looking to get between Canyon and Lake will have to take the long way through Craig Pass.
The Dunraven Pass between Canyon and Tower remains closed and will not reopen for the season until May 26.
