More Travel News, More Yellowstone Accessibility

Expanding Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport certainly has paid off, as there’s another direct flight to report: Delta is adding seasonal nonstops between Bozeman and New York-LaGuardia Airport, beginning in June.

Delta will operate these flights using an Airbus A319 aircraft with 114 seats; 12 First Class and 102 Economy seats including 12 Economy Comfort seats. Flights will operate on Saturdays from June 21, 2014 through September 27, 2014.  These flights will depart LaGuardia at 8:45 a.m. and arrive Bozeman at 11:29 a.m., depart Bozeman at 12:15 p.m. and arrive at LaGuardia at 6:17 p.m.

This is the third new nonstop flight to and from Yellowstone National Park gateways announced in two days: yesterday we reported on new nonstops between Houston and Bozeman, and Cody and Chicago. The three new nonstops will make it much easier to travel to Yellowstone National Park. Yellowstone accessibility has always been a challenge, and the four main airports in gateway communities — Bozeman, Billings, Cody and Jackson — have worked hard to expand air service.

By the way: Bozeman is now the busiest airport in Montana, and we suspect easy Yellowstone accessibility is a big factor in this rise.
