Craig Pass Closed Due To Vehicle Accident

Craig Pass, between Old Faithful and West Thumb, has been closed due to a sudden accident.

According to a Yellowstone press release, two vehicles were involved in sudden head-on collision near Shoshone Point, approximately eight miles west of West Thumb.

The closure is expected to last several hours.

No information is available regarding the condition of the drivers involved in the accident. We will keep you informed of any new developments, as well as when the road reopens to traffic.

UPDATE: The Craig Pass has opened to vehicular traffic again. Be cautious, however, as only one lane is open, and there are significant delays.
