Visitors to the Upper Geyser Basin, be they veterans or neophytes, would do well to check out the General Store located on the way to Castle Geyser.

The last building to be erected in old Fort Yellowstone, the ecumenical Yellowstone Chapel in Mammoth Hot Springs is 100 years old today.

During the fall and spring the historic Lake General Store -- the first built by Charles Hamilton in Yellowstone National Park -- was renovated from top to bottom. It’s now a showcase for historic preservation that leaves the character of the building intact while maintaining the spirit of the facility.
