Low gas prices and the affordability of a trip to Yellowstone National Park fueled a record-setting month in American's oldest national park -- by a huge margin. Over 900,000 people entered Yellowstone in July; up 11.4 percent from the same month in 2008, and up over the previous all time record of 847,000 visitors set in July 1995.

They caused quite the stir after setting up shop near Mammoth Hot Springs, but the four wolves who caused some consternation for National Park Service officials have turned into model citizens in the Hayden Valley area -- after some "teaching" by Park officials.

One big road project -- reconstruction near the South Entrance -- in Yellowstone National Park has been completed, while an even larger one -- an overhaul of the Norris/Mammoth segment of the Grand Loop -- is in the planning stages.

This year the National Park Service is taking a new, dramatic step to showcase Yellowstone National Park. Every Tuesday and Thursday -- up to August 14th -- Yellowstone National Park is hosting a live webcam show broadcast from Geyser Hill, which sits near Old Faithful Geyser. The shows are conducted by Park Ranger George Heinz and are broadcast at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Mountain time.
