Sylvan Pass Closed to Travel Temporarily

The Sylvan Pass on Yellowstone National Park’s eastern road has been temporarily closed due to avalanche danger.

The Pass connects Lake Village and Fishing Bridge to the East Entrance and Cody, Wyoming.

According to a Yellowstone press release, the road will likely reopen this afternoon once the danger passes.

The road reopened in late December to oversnow travel for the 2017-18 winter season.

We will provide an update once the road has reopened.

UPDATE: The Sylvan Pass has reopened to oversnow travel.
