Craig Pass Reopens, Route Between Indian Creek and Roaring Mountain Closes

The Craig Pass between Old Faithful and West Thumb Geyser Basin has reopened after a bout of inclement weather.

Yesterday, wintry weather closed most of Yellowstone’s passes and a few roads in the southeast portion of the park. Several of those roads were reopened shortly afterward.

At this time, two passes (Dunraven between Tower and Canyon and Sylvan between Lake and the East Entrance) are closed to public travel. In Dunraven’s case, this is an improvement over yesterday, when hazardous conditions closed it to all travel, even that of cleanup crews.

In addition, the road between Indian Creek Campground and Roaring Mountain is now closed to all travel for construction.
