Yellowstone Oversnow Travel Starts Ending For Season March 5

Oversnow travel in Yellowstone National Park will start coming to a close for the season March 5, 2017.

According to a Yellowstone press release, the Park will completely close to oversnow travel Wednesday, March 15. Spring plowing is scheduled after that. Weather pending, the roads will reopen to automobile travel Friday, April 15.

The list of road closure dates is below:

• Sunday, March 5, 9 p.m.: the road between Mammoth Hot Springs and Norris.
• Tuesday, March 7, 9 p.m.: roads between Norris and Madison, Norris and Canyon Village.
• Sunday, March 12, 9 p.m.: roads between Canyon Village and Fishing Bridge, Fishing Bridge and Lake Butte Overlook.
• Wednesday, March 15, 9 p.m.: all remaining roads.

The road between the North and Northeast Entrances is open to automobile traffic year-round.
