Antelope Fire

Oops, Wrong Turn: Tower Road Remains Closed

The danger isn’t from fire spilling onto the road: the danger is from the smoke from the fire. Because of shifting weather conditions, there’s a haze in the area that may not lift any time soon.

The road will remain closed at least through tomorrow, and until further notice.

The fire has grown to 2,511 acres, with 20 percent containment, but growth is considered nonexistent on the north side and dramatically slowed on the south side.
