Yellowstone’s Biscuit Basin Boardwalk is Back, Baby!

They removed asphalt, added a larger observation deck overlooking Wall Pool, and added a new connection to the Mystic Falls trail.  In all, over 2,400 feet of trail was built or replaced.

The new boardwalk was designed and built for accessibility in accordance with the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Recovery and Reinvestment Act provided funding in the amount of $121,570 for project materials.

Biscuit Basin, located three miles north of Old Faithful, was named for the unusual biscuit-like deposits which once surrounded Sapphire Pool, one of several hydrothermal features in the basin.
